Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.) is seeking a Sales Representative for New Installations. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, learning preliminary design work with architects and general contractors, developing budgets, reading plans and specifications, preparing estimates and bid proposals, and delivering presentations to win sales.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (or 3+ years industry sales experience) with elevator/B2B sales background and proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3+ years of industry sales experience.
• Elevator industry or B2B sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information to locate sources for sale of Schindler products and services.
• Learn preliminary design work with architects and general contractors; develop budgets and schedules; read plans & specs; prepare estimates, bid proposals, and presentations to win the sale.
• Meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives.
• Analyze customer needs and secure business through Schindler products and services.
• Maintain favorable client relationships and resolve customer complaints.

Education

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

3+ years of industry sales experience
