Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to support and coordinate onboarding for our temporary tradespeople, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience. This is a full-time internal role located onsite in Houston, TX.

The position requires leading end-to-end onboarding activities, data entry, and serving as the main contact for new hires. Weekend/after-hours flexibility is expected during peak periods. Houston-based onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in onboarding, preferably in a fast-paced staffing or high-volume environment.
• Ability to perform proactively with urgency in a busy setting.
• Strong knowledge of HR systems, onboarding platforms, and compliance requirements (Avionte and Fieldglass a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others succeed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during busy/peak times.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires including new hire paperwork, background check/screening, data and document collection and submission, and monitoring the status.
• Utilization of various software and programs in order to complete a high-volume of data entry.
• Serve as the go-to contact for new employees, answering questions and guiding them through the onboarding process.
• Work closely with Recruiters, HR, and hiring managers to coordinate onboarding schedules and documentation.

Fulltime, Internal Position: Onboarding Specialist

Location: Onsite - Houston, TX

Bonus: ~$2,000 in monthly incentives

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility to work extended hours during peak times)
