Select Specialty Hospital Battle Creek, part of Select Medical, is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse for full-time days at the Battle Creek, Michigan facility. The role offers a structured 10-13 week orientation with a dedicated preceptor, a $15,000 sign-on bonus, and starting pay of $39.64 per hour, plus $3 shift differentials for nights and weekends.

Applicants may start before licensure but must have license by start date.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the physician and preceptor to implement the plan of care for the patient population.
• Initiate ongoing systematic assessment of physical, emotional, social, educational and functional needs of patients/families.
• Interpret assessment data to develop a nursing care plan with goals and interventions.
• Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in rehabilitation goals planning and evaluation.
• Ensure medical records are complete, accurate and timely.

• In collaboration with the physician and their preceptor, you will assure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.
• Initiating an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational and functional needs of the patients/families.
• Interpreting assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan which contains problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long term goals and discharge planning.
• Participating as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Assuring that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate and timely.
