Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a recognized and accredited Nursing (RN) education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Licensed RN or NCLEX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of the steps in the nursing process and how the patient plan of care is developed, implemented, and revised under direct supervision.
• Assesses patient data (e.g., vital signs) and reports changes under RN supervision.
• Participates in planning the prioritization of patient needs within the shift under supervision.
• Monitors implementation of the plan of care with attention to patient and family education needs.
• Documents accurately under RN supervision and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Works within the Nursing Residency program to obtain RN licensure in a timely manner.
