Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Nursing Graduate to work under direct RN supervision in the Maternity Unit at LDS Hospital. This role supports patient care activities during the Nurse Residency program, with potential to progress toward RN licensure after 12 weeks and/or board examinations.

Responsibilities include data collection, care planning, and participating in patient education under supervision, with a total weekly schedule of 36 hours on a night shift.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a recognized and accredited Nursing (RN) education program.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of the steps in the nursing process under direct supervision of an RN.
• Collects patient data and reports significant changes under the RN's supervision.
• Assists in planning and prioritizing patient needs during shifts with the RN.
• Observes and participates in implementing the patient plan of care, respecting patient diversity.
• Reports patient responses to treatments and collaborates with the RN on necessary adjustments.
