Job summary

Trident Medical Center is offering the HCA Nurse Residency Program in South Carolina to newly graduated nurses. This paid year-long program supports transition from student nurse to registered nurse with hands-on experiences, mentorship, and structured learning experiences.

Participants gain advanced clinical training, monthly sessions, and preceptorship, with evaluation of skills through simulations and feedback from nurse leaders.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• RN education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license or Graduate Nurse in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; identify and report changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other orders; document care in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and notify provider as needed.
• Deliver exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests; anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, plan, medications and follow-up.
