Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and document care in the patient record
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures
