Job summary

Trident Medical Center is offering a Nurse Residency Program for newly graduated RNs. The paid, year‑long program provides hands‑on experience, clinical training, and mentorship from nurse leaders to support transition from student to registered nurse.

The RN Resident will gain exposure to advanced clinical training, monthly education, preceptorship, and evidence‑based practice projects, in a collaborative hospital setting with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN/BSN).
• RN license or Graduate Nurse licensure in South Carolina.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up.
