Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center offers a paid RN Residency for new graduates, designed to ease transition from classroom to bedside. The program includes advanced clinical training, monthly education, preceptorship, and hands-on simulations, with mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.

Start dates occur every two weeks, providing flexibility around graduation and NCLEX timelines. This residency aims to build competency across Medical Surgical Telemetry, ICU, Emergency, and other patient care

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the state.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per department standards.
• Assist with procedures, medication administration, and charting.
• Collaborate with care team and providers to support patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up steps.
• Engage in evidence-based practice projects and preceptorship activities.
