Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO offers an RN Residency Program designed to support new graduate nurses through a formalized series of learning experiences. The paid program includes advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, and preceptorship with a facility preceptor.

You will gain hands-on experience across various units, with mentoring from experienced nurse leaders and a focus on evidence-based practice projects while transitioning to independent practice.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment.
• RN license or Graduate Nurse in the state.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients; document care in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapy; notify provider if needed.
• Provide exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications and follow-up.
