Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, offers RN Residency opportunities designed to bridge classroom learning to bedside nursing. The year‑long program provides hands‑on clinical experiences, mentorship from nurse leaders, and a structured progression toward licensure as a Registered Nurse.

You will rotate through specialty areas, complete a guided education plan, and contribute to delivering patient‑centered care under supervision within our collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other nursing functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively address needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications and follow‑up.
