Job summary

The RN Residency Program at Lee's Summit Medical Center provides structured training to help new graduates transition into professional nursing with hands-on experiences and dedicated mentoring.

We offer sponsorship considerations for eligible candidates, including TN visa pathways and potential relocation to Kansas City for program start. Commitment to developing clinical skills and patient-centered care is emphasized throughout the residency.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications. Monitor patient for therapeutic response and intervene as needed.
• Provide prompt, attentive care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
