Job summary

Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position designed to transition new graduates into competent, professional nurses. The program offers a collaborative learning environment with unit mentorship, simulation, and structured development across pathways.

Most hires will be placed on a Banner Health unit, with 12-month commitments to the NNE experience, and a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts that include weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
• No more than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs and coordinate with the care team.
• Formulate and implement a plan of care including discharge planning in collaboration with patient and family.
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate and supervise activities of the care team as needed.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans; document in the patient record.
