Job summary

Banner Health is offering a New Nurse Experience RN residency in Glendale, AZ. The program helps new graduates transition to a competent, professional nurse through a collaborative learning environment with mentored clinical experiences.

Participants work three 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotations, receive onboarding in the Banner Simulation Center, and gain opportunities across multiple nursing pathways.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
• No more than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and discharge planning
• Formulate and revise the plan of care with the care team
• Implement and supervise nursing care per physician orders
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care as needed
• Document nursing assessments and care in the patient record
• Contribute to professional development and mentoring of staff
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety activities
• Supervise staff and coordinate workflow as applicable
• Collaborate with various departments and providers to ensure seamless care
