Job summary

Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience (NNE) is a full-time RN residency program designed to transition new graduates into competent, professional nurses. Participants are mentored in Observation Units (2 units, 20-bed and 16-bed) with diverse career pathways and a 12-month unit commitment.

The program includes precepted clinical experiences, access to a state-of-the-art simulation center, and comprehensive orientation to the Cerner EMR, with support for professional development and career growth.

Qualifications

• Recent graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date
• No more than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient nursing needs and plan care in collaboration with the health team
• Implement care as per physician orders and nursing plan of care
• Document patient progress and communicate status to care team
• Participate in unit leadership, education and mentoring activities
• Contribute to patient outcomes through evidence-based care and collaboration
