Job summary

Bon Secours seeks a New Grad Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional care at St. Mary's Hospital. You will collaborate across Med-Surg and ICU, assess patients, and develop care plans to improve outcomes.

The role emphasizes patient safety, coordination across departments, and adherence to state practice guidelines. BSN preferred; RN licensure or RN applicant status required; ACLS/BLS preferred with ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred (not required).
• Current RN license or RN applicant status.
• BLS or ACLS (ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months).
• Experience as LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze data, create and implement a plan of care, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications safely in line with state practice and organizational policies.
