Job summary

Bon Secours in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care (Step down) at Mary Immaculate Hospital. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating patient care, and ensuring safety across Med/Surg Telemetry.

The position includes evenings/nights shifts with up to a 36-hour weekly schedule. The role requires RN licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred), and at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
