Job summary

Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, VA seeks a Progressive Care RN to deliver high-quality patient care bridging Med-Surg and ICU. You will lead care planning and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, ACLS required within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Acts as patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely per State of Practice and hospital policies.
