Mercy Health’s St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital seeks a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care (Step down).

The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, leading with organizational and leadership skills, and serving as the care-line between Med-Surg and ICU units. The position emphasizes collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, patient assessment, care planning, and safety advocacy, with required RN licensure and licensure or eligibility; ACLS/BLS preferred at

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or RN applicant.
• ACLS/BLS certification preferred or required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and organization policies
• Other duties as assigned
