Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a New Grad RN for our Cardiac Care Unit on a rotating schedule. The unit provides care for acute myocardial infarction and post-surgical patients with complex cardiac conditions.

This full-time position offers 40 hours weekly, 12-hour shifts with self scheduling and a strong benefits package.

Active Maryland RN license, BLS CPR, ADN required; BSN preferred and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of hire.
  • BLS CPR required.
  • New graduate nurses with 120 hours capstone or practicum in senior semester.
  • ADN required; BSN preferred with matriculation into BSN program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate nursing care in a high-acuity Cardiac Care Unit.
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to patient changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and life‑threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit, therefore patients post- CABG, valve replacements, transplant, LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery.

Qualifications
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at time of hire
  • BLS CPR required
  • New graduate nurses who have at least 120-hours capstone or practicum in their senior semester
  • Associate's Degree in nursing (ADN) (Required)
  • BSN (preferred) and applicants w/an ADN in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a BSN program.

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
