Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced RN for our Cardiac Care Unit. The unit provides care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complex cardiogenic conditions, with transfers to CVSICU for recovery when needed.

We offer 40-hour work weeks with 12-hour day/night shifts on a rotating schedule and self scheduling. Active Maryland or Compact RN license and BLS CPR are required; ADN is required and BSN preferred, with matriculation into BSN encouraged.

Qualifications

• New graduates with 120 hours capstone or practicum in senior semester.

Weekly Working Hours: 40-hours/week (20 12-hour shifts in a 6-week schedule)

Shift: 12-hour day/night rotations w/self scheduling

The Johns Hopkins Hospital's acute medical Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and life-threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit, therefore patients post- CABG, valve replacements, transplant, LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery.

Qualifications:

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
