Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. The RN coordinates patient care on a rotating 12-hour schedule, provides leadership to the care team, and applies evidence-based nursing processes to improve outcomes.
The role requires an ADN with RN licensure, CPR on hire, and at least 6 months of nursing experience; BSN is preferred.

Shift: 12-hour shift: 7a-7p and 7p-7a

Clinical Decision Unit
The Registered Nurse coordinates care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes. Provides direction to other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care. Provides evidence-based practice care based on the nursing process policy, procedures, and protocols. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient care outcomes. Participates and promotes quality clinical improvement by supporting standards within a given care setting. Practices and promotes responsible cost effective use of resources. Completes all identified annual requirements and competencies for the patient population, care setting, department, and institution. Participates in the performance appraisal process. Demonstrates organizations core values on a consistent basis.
Minimum $43.25/hour - Maximum $67.04/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
