Job summary
Amrize is seeking a Build For Growth Mechanical Engineer I at the Whitehall Cement Plant in PA. You will support plant equipment operation and maintenance, and help implement Condition Based Maintenance programs.
The 16-month Build4Growth program offers new graduate engineers foundational knowledge across cement plant operations, blending online learning, hands-on sessions, and project work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
- 0–3 years of work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Travel up to 5%.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with equipment suppliers and plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
- Monitor reliability-based systems including preventive maintenance and vibration analysis.
- Contribute to creating preventive maintenance routines (PMRs) and BOMs for new equipment.
- Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability.
- Perform root-cause analysis to eliminate repetitive problems (RCA, Pareto, FMEA).
- Support continuous improvement to MTBF and reliability initiatives.
- Coordinate SAP PMR-related tasks with maintenance planners.
- Provide training and development to maintenance staff on reliability concepts.
