What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and identify potential school and district partners, initiating outreach to decision-makers
- Qualify prospects by understanding their needs, setting up appointments, and passing qualified leads to Account Managers
- Establish rapport with educators and administrators, emphasizing the value of Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and track progress toward goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance outreach strategies and improve lead generation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
- Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or CRM systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across functions and with customers

- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
- Proficient in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
