What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and setting up appointments for Account Managers
- Build relationships with educators and administrators to emphasize the value of Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress toward sales goals in the CRM system
- Collaborate with the sales team to align strategies and improve lead generation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation and Customer Relationship Management software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
- Experience in event management and customer service
