Job summary

A leading company in educational publishing is seeking a Sales Representative to engage with schools and districts. This role involves researching potential partners, qualifying leads, and building strong relationships to promote literacy and Scholastic Reading Events. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation and Customer Relationship Management software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
- Experience in event management and customer service
