Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center seeks a Patient Services Representative for its Neurosurgery Clinic. The role is the first point of contact for front office activity, handling check-ins, appointment scheduling, and patient financial records. Experience with insurance referrals and front desk duties is preferred.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position supports accurate billing by coordinating with the Central Billing Office and ensuring proper charge capture and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2-5 years of experience in front desk/insurance referrals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include the assignment of diagnostic codes and the entering of all physician and clinic related charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
