Job summary

Methodist Associates in Healthcare, Inc. (d/b/a Jefferson Community Physicians) seeks a Patient Services Associate I to enhance the patient experience at the front desk by processing arrivals and departures, verifying insurance and demographics, and supporting prompt, courteous care delivery.

Primary responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling via EPIC, ensuring workflow efficiency, and maintaining confidentiality in line with HIPAA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Processes check in and/or check out, scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Greets patients/visitors professionally, on phone or in person.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
