Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is partnering with a Northwest Indiana health system to recruit a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon for a role in the Greater Chicagoland area, about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. This physician-led, high-volume practice offers a state-of-the-art hospital infrastructure and a collaborative team environment.

You will work within a HIMSS Stage VII setting with EPIC EHR integration and AI-assisted documentation, alongside neurosurgeons, neurologists,

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery
• Indiana medical license active/unrestricted or eligible within 90–120 days
• MD or DO graduate from accredited US medical school or international equivalent
• Experience in general neurosurgery and/or subspecialty fellowship areas (spine, vascular, skull base, neuro-oncology)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cranial and complex/general spine neurosurgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical suite environments.
• Conduct clinical evaluations, patient workups, and perform elective and emergent neurosurgical procedures.
• Participate in an equitable, shared neurosurgery call rotation.
• Utilize advanced surgical technology, intraoperative imaging, and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management specialists, and critical care teams.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and optimal patient care pathways.
