Job summary

Responsibilities include collecting vital signs, assisting with meals and hygiene, mobility support, data recording, and effective communication within the care team. Candidates with CNA/CPCT preferred; BCLS required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or current enrollment in a nursing program.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire; CNA or CPCT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care tasks and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Collect and record vital signs, height, weight, O2 sats, intake/output, and calories.
• Support meals, feeding, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and hygiene needs.
• Assist with positioning, mobility, and use of walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose via finger sticks; report results.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team and maintain professionalism.
• Adhere to infection control and PPE protocols and participate in safety initiatives.
