Job summary

Compass Pathways is seeking a Neuroscience Therapeutic Sales Specialist in Newark, NJ. This field-based role will drive adoption of our innovative mental health therapy, engaging psychiatrists and treatment centers while traveling up to 70% to cover a defined territory.

You will execute the regional commercial strategy, build strong provider partnerships, and deliver scientifically accurate education. A clinical mindset and successful launch experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets preferred.
• Experience with buy-and-bill and site-of-care dynamics.
• Prior authorization and payer processes knowledge is a plus.
• Proven success launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.
• Strong clinical acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the company’s therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, behavioral health systems, and stakeholders.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant product and disease-state education to providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and assist providers with referral pathways.
• Collaborate with certified treatment sites to support onboarding and treatment workflows.
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics, patient flow, and operational considerations.
• Partner with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Ops for coordinated execution.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and resources.
• Gather field insights to inform brand strategy and patient journey optimization.
• Manage territory business planning, call planning, and performance tracking.
• Demonstrate ethical, compliant, and patient-centric behaviors.
