Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Worcester, MA is seeking a field-based Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to drive product promotion within an assigned territory, align with sales strategy, and build physician relationships.

You will collaborate with the District Sales Manager, analyze local market, manage resources, ensure access and reimbursement, travel as needed, and maintain compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (or Associate if not met).
• Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
• Reimbursement experience preferred.
• Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products per sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
• Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
• Maintain up-to-date product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
• Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in territory.
• Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills with target audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
• Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers/customer facilities/state/local governments.
• Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
