Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a driven pharmaceutical sales professional to execute and promote products within a defined territory, closely collaborating with the District Sales Manager. You will analyze local market dynamics, monitor performance, and ensure access and reimbursement within institutional systems.

The role requires 3+ years of pharma sales experience, with preference for anti-psychotic/orphan drug familiarity and psychiatry specialization.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may be considered for “Associate” if not met).
• Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
• Reimbursement experience preferred.
• Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate frequently with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
• Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
• Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
• Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
• Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
• Maintain full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Meet credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
• Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
