Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for specialty clinics and direct patient care. The role includes performing comprehensive exams, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing therapies, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

The provider will counsel patients, manage care across inpatient/outpatient settings, and participate in cost-effective, evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Education: graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Experience: 1 year of experience.
• Licenses: TX PA license and NCCPA certification; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients physically and mentally with comprehensive or problem-focused exams.
• Orders, collects, and interprets lab tests and other diagnostics.
• Prescribes or recommends drug therapies and other treatments with safe, cost-effective plans.
• Develops and implements outcomes-based treatment plans with the medical team.
• Counsels patients and families about medical processes, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintains records and initiates referrals when needed.
• Provides specialty-clinic level consultation within scope of practice.
