Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care across outpatient and specialty clinics in Texas. The role includes prescriptive authority, independent billing, and collaboration with supervising physicians.

The Advanced Practice Provider will perform comprehensive exams, order and interpret tests, counsel patients, and maintain detailed records while supporting a variety of specialties.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and mental health assessments and collect medical histories.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and therapies following approved protocols; advise on safety and interactions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans with physicians; monitor response to care.
• Counsel patients and families about medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Provide specialty care in outpatient and inpatient settings as required.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and under supervision as needed.
