Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for specialty clinics. The role provides direct patient care with prescriptive authority under a supervising physician, credentialed and billed as an independent provider by Medicare and Medicaid.

The Advanced Practice Provider delivers medical care in various specialties and must maintain Texas PA licensure and NCCPA certification, with BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Program.
• Experience: Less than 1 Year of Experience.
• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
• Current NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients through examinations and histories.
• Orders, interprets laboratory tests and diagnostic information to assess needs.
• Prescribes medications and therapies per supervising physician's scope.
• Develops comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and team members.
• Counsels patients and families about medical processes, medications, and health promotion.
