Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for specialty clinics within their Texas system. The NP will provide direct patient care with prescriptive authority under physician supervision and contribute to a range of specialty areas.

Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering diagnostics, prescribing therapies, and formulating treatment plans while counseling patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas required (or APRN)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assess patients through comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and histories.
• Order, interpret, and act on labs and diagnostics as needed.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies within scope of practice.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans with physicians and teams.
• Counsel patients and families on medical processes, medications, nutrition and health promotion.
