The Johns Hopkins University Department of Neurology seeks a Patient Service Coordinator to join the Falls Concourse at Johns Hopkins Green Spring Station campus, with occasional duties at the Howard County site.

This unique role blends administrative and clinical tasks, focusing on scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and front-desk support to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
• One year work experience in customer service required.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience per the JHU equivalency formula.
• Knowledge of medical insurance coverage is preferred.
• Two years in a similar service-oriented industry is preferred.
• Experience in the Johns Hopkins system is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Offer friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain accurate information on each patient and schedule appointments using automated systems.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate clinic visits across departments.
• Verify pre-registration and insurance information, and prepare schedules.
• Assist front desk duties, answer phones, and respond to messages.
• Coordinate patient transport and communicate appointment details clearly.
