Job summary

Inova Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Associate 1 for the Fairfax Neurology Clinics. This full-time, day shift role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., guiding patients through check-in, insurance verification, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year customer service or 1 year experience in a medical setting (Associate degree in lieu of experience).
• Experience in healthcare or insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works independently to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Explains insurance benefits and patient liability clearly.
• Obtains and validates insurance information via payer verification systems.
• Coordinates with departments to assist patients and transport when needed.
• Educates patients on applications for alternate payment sources.
