Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. in Wareham, MA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Neurology clinic. You will support providers, assist patients, and help maintain efficient clinic operations.

This position offers 40 hours per week, day shift (8:00am–4:30pm), and a $3,500 new hire sign-on bonus. Travel averaging 3+ times per week between sites is required, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant coursework
• Certification as Medical Assistant or equivalent practice experience
• BLS certification required
• EMR experience and health IT skills preferred
• One year of medical assistant experience preferred
• Fluency in a language other than English and medical interpreting preferred
• Vaccination: flu and COVID-19 or exemption with signed statement

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures
• Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office
• Handle telephone communications including test results and schedules
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• Provide medical interpretation when required
