Job summary

UVA Community Health in Manassas, VA, seeks an END Tech I to perform department diagnostic procedures under supervision. Responsibilities include EEGs and LTM exams, accurate charging and maintaining competency in neurodiagnostic techniques for patients of varying ages.

You will participate in ongoing education, infection control, and teamwork to deliver high-quality neurodiagnostic services across UVA Community Health facilities.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; one year of formal or on the job neurodiagnostics training preferred.
• 1 year Neurodiagnostics experience - Preferred Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Responsibilities

• Performs department diagnostic procedures under the supervision of registered staff.
• Performs patient diagnostic procedures such as EEGs and LTM including correctly charging and assigning completed exams.
• Promotes the availability and provision of neurophysiology services.
• Maintains clinical and professional competency, according to department policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention.
• Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
• Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
