Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the Neuro team at St. Marys Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patients, collect data, and coordinate with RNs and other staff to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements include a Colorado CNA, BLS, and basic computer skills; strong communication is essential. This PRN role offers variable day/night shifts and opportunities for health-unit coordination and safe patient

Qualifications

Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Colorado.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, water and ice, ambulating, comfort measures, and other needs.
Report and record patient care findings and data in a timely manner and seek qualified assistance as needed.
Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition, collaborating with the medical team.
Transport medications to the RN as required on the clinical unit.
Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
May function as Health Unit Coordinator: answer phones, transcribe orders, manage unit records, stock supplies.
Implements plan of care as delegated and performs duties within scope of practice.
