Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Neuro/Transplant Progressive Care Unit. On-site, full-time day shift with 36 hours weekly, the role assists with daily living activities, communicates with the healthcare team, and supports patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, education for patients and families, and participation in quality initiatives. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT course or CNA/RN program coursework completed.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy training required for ED positions.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Take vital signs and help with point-of-care testing as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patient and family and support safety.
