Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician to assist with daily living activities and support the care team in Voorhees, NJ. The role emphasizes compassionate patient support and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy/EKG duties where certified, and documentation of patient status. This position offers part-time hours, on-site work, and a pathway to ongoing clinical education and growth.

Qualifications

• Must have basic patient care skills and standards.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Successful completion of a PCT course or equivalent patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility).
• Communicate with and support the healthcare team and patients/families.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning and Foley care as directed.
• Identify changes in patient status and report to RN/LPN; participate in education and safety initiatives.
• Support in orientation of new hires and participate in performance improvement activities.
