Job summary

Virtua Health provides patient-centered care at Burlington Hospital in Willingboro, NJ. A Per Diem Patient Care Tech supports daily living activities and collaborates with the care team on the Med Surg Tele Heart Failure unit.

Under RN/LPN supervision, you may perform vital signs, prep for tests, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, and reinforce safety and education. Requires a HS diploma and PCT/CNARN coursework or 1 year of direct patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have completed a PCT/CNA/RN fundamentals course or 1 year of direct patient care.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy training is required for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting).
• Take vital signs and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Perform bladder scanning and Foley catheter care as appropriate.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN and reinforce care education.
