Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in a designated area, on a 24-hour basis as required. This role partners with the Nurse Manager to guide staff, uphold the Nursing Practice Model, and drive high-quality outcomes for patients and families.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN, a current Ohio RN license, and have 2–3 years of clinical care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Two to three years of clinical patient care experience required.
• Certification in nursing administration or related area; must be achieved within eligibility timeline.
• Proven leadership skills and related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of patient care operations in designated areas.
• Support the Nurse Manager and lead a team of care providers toward patient-centered outcomes.
• Collaborate with other patient care departments to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
• Foster a healthy work environment and promote the Nursing Professional Practice Model.
