RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Unit III. The role includes comprehensive patient assessments, safe medication administration, collaboration with physicians, patient and family education, and meticulous EMR documentation.

This day shift, 36 hours per week, offers opportunities on a neurology-focused unit. Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, BLS and ACLS, with 1 year acute care experience; ADN is required and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• This role requires an active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• AHA BLS certification is required, ACLS certification is required.
• At least 1 year acute care experience preferred.
• ADN is required; BSN strongly preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes early.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on evidence-based care.
• Partner with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to prepare for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure safety and continuity.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
• Collaborate in a high-performing team with shared accountability.
