RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit I in Newark. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to coordinate care. Strong communication and clinical judgment are essential for success, with experience in cardiac post-procedures valued.

The role supports growth within a team-driven environment, offering a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
• BLS certification required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with Post Cardiac Cath care or cardiac procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and detect clinical changes early.
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed decisions and post-discharge care.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity.
