Job summary

Advocate Health in Aurora seeks a Surgical Technologist to prepare and maintain sterile fields for neuro and ENT procedures. You will assist surgeons, pass instruments, and ensure a safe, efficient operating room environment on a 40-hour schedule with call obligations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 6 months if required by the department.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean, safe, efficient operating room environment and aseptic technique for procedures.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and anticipating needs.
• Set up the OR, position equipment, and ensure availability of supplies and instruments.
• Operate and move equipment; assist in maintaining a sterile, dry field during procedures.
• Perform patient positioning and transporting duties as required.
