Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operating room teams at our Aurora Health Care locations. The role requires maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting during surgeries, while ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow.

Qualified candidates will complete an approved Surgical Technology program and demonstrate strong customer service, teamwork, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in preparation of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe operating area and prepares materials for procedures.
• Assists surgeons by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Sets up and disassembles operating room equipment for procedures.
• Positions and transports patients and equipment as needed.
• Ensures patient care considers age-specific needs and development.
