Job summary

Allied Telesis in San Jose, CA seeks a Sales Engineer to support the national sales team across direct and channel business. The role leads the technical side of the sales process from discovery through POC and close, with a focus on datacenter, campus, or retail network design.

Qualifications

Five years plus in Sales Engineer or equivalent roles with pre-sales experience.
Strong background in datacenter, campus, or retail networking and sales.
Ability to translate customer requirements into credible designs and solutions.
Proven presentation and technical demonstration capabilities.
Experience with RFIs/RFPs and interface between customers and product teams.
Willingness to travel up to 75% and work hybrid schedule in Bay Area.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical resource for field sales and channel partners.
Design technical solutions for datacenter, campus, and distributed retail networks.
Present architectures and products to business and technical audiences.
Lead proof-of-concept scopes, setup, deployment, and success criteria.
Deliver product demonstrations and act as a trusted technical advisor.
Coordinate with product management and engineering for feedback and roadmap.
Respond to RFIs/RFPs and manage certification workflows.
